Pertengahan tahun 2013, salah satu pembimbing memberitahukan sebuah event yaitu IAEG XII yang akan dilaksanakan di Itali pada tahun 2014. Beliau menyarankan kami para mahasiswa bimbingannya untuk menulis abstrak dari penelitian kami dan memasukkan ke event tersebut. Abstrak pun jadi dan as usual di submit di detik-detik terakhir. hhe..

Email Pemberitahuan

Nerima email ini rasanya seneng banget. Salah satu bucket list saya sudah di depan mata. Ditambah lagi hampir semua penghuni Lab.Geoteknik diterima paper-nya. :) Nah setelah ini nih, pembuatan full paper yang sedikit menyita waktu. Tapi setelah dilakoni akhirnya full paper - poster jadi juga.

Dan ini dia!!!! Europe Trip pun semakin dekat! :)

It was my second time, being there, at the end of the year, trying to feel (again) the atmosphere of new year eve at the place which made me comfort and always made me curious. 

"phhhhiiiiiwwwww.....buuuummm...buuummm.....".

Saya yang sedang berada di alam mimpi, mendadak terbangun mendengar suara kembang api di luar sana. Di sebuah kamar penginapan di salah satu tempat yang selalu membuat saya ingin kembali ke sana, hanya ada saya dan Teh Khalida yang sama-sama meringkuk di dalam selimut sementara Teh Putu sudah berada di bawah - menunggu momentum pergantian tahun sambil menikmati secangkir wedang jahe dan jagung bakar. Hmmm. Perpaduan yang pas di tengah-tengah dinginnya Dataran Tinggi Dieng. 

Sebagian orang menantikan pergantian tahun dengan cara mereka masing-masing. Ada yang duduk di tepi jalan sambil menikmati cahaya kembang api yang menurut saya yeeaahh, it`s cool, ada yang sibuk dengan kamera masing-masing mengabadikan momen momen di sekitar mereka, ada yang berusaha menghangatkan diri dengan secangkir minumah wedang jahe dan sambil menikmati kembang api. Dan saya memilih untuk berkemas, menyiapkan alat tempur untuk menyambut matahari pagi pertama di awal tahun.

Beruntungnya saya adalah penginapan yang saya-teh Putu dan teh Khalida tumpangi berada persis di samping pos pendaftaran Gunung Prau. Yeah, setelah setaun sebelumnya saya berada di daerah yang sama namun berada di gunung lain di Dieng, saya masih ketagihan untuk kembali ke sana. Always.

Journey always guide me to get new friends, everywhere I go.

Keinginan saya untuk naik ke Gunung Prau walaupun kedua teteh tersayang enggan untuk mendaki membuat saya lagi-lagi mendapat kenalan baru. Sedari pukul 00.00 lebih sedikit saya udah duduk manis di pos pendakian, menunggu barangkali ada yang ingin naik ke Prau - malam itu dan berniat ikutan gabung ke atas. Sejam menunggu , tak terlihat satupun pendaki yang ingin ke atas. Akhirnya saya meninggalkan nomor hape di pos pendakian dan berpesan untuk dikabari jika ada yang mau naik ke atas. 

Beruntungnya saya malam itu (lagi), baru masuk ke dalam penginapan - terlihat sebuah mobil mendekati pos pendakian. Alhamdulillah, malam itu ada beberapa mahasiswa UNS yang berniat mendaki ke atas. Singkat cerita akhirnya saya mendaki bersama mereka ke atas.

FOG is in everywhere. 

Perjalanan malam kami saat itu ditemani oleh suara angin yang (sepertinya) berhembus kuat di atas sana. Padang savana yang menjadi daya tarik gunung Prau mendadak hilang di atas sana karena sejauh mata memandang hanya putih yang bisa dilihat. Kabut ada dimana-mana, seolah sudah siap menyambut kedatangan kami dan saat itu angin berhembus sangat kencang. Menunggu sampai pagi pun tidak terlihat tanda-tanda cuaca akan cerah dan akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk segera turun. 

Lagi-lagi saya berjanji someday I`ll be here again. Greeting the sunrise without FOG. Well... Happy (Middle) New Year 2014 all! 

That beautful quote (for me) is locked in my brain and heart. Like what I felt in the end of 2013. After had really really busy days for almost a year, I needed a sweet escape. Something different from my last journey, not too far, no solobackpacker ( I needed friends in this sweet escape) and could spend new year eve in somewhere. And Thanks Rabb, I was not lonely again in this escape, I had mates, Non Putu and Teh Khalida. Non Putu is a friend of mine, I know her since I was in my first year in my college and Teh Khalida is Non Putu`s friend.  

Actually, we made the itinerary just from chatting, I - who was in Lampung and Non Putu - who was in Bandung, were separated by Sunda Strait. We arranged our journey by phone. After had a good itinerary (fyi : we went to EAST JAVA for exploring some national parks there and wanna spent our New Year Eve in Dien), we were confused about the transportation. Yeah, our holiday was coincide with long holiday for celebrating New Year Eve. Suddenly, all of the train ticket was sold out whereas the train was the cheapest public transportation. Because we did not want our holiday was cancelled, we tried another public transportation - and our choice was BUS (we needed to spent more money for the ticket, but it`s OK considering there were none choice for us). So, hello EAST JAVA! :)

Like what Paulo said that universe conspires in helping you to achieve, our journey by bus was totally amazing. I was really amazed with the view - sunrise, sunset, mountain, sea were the scenery I`d seen during my journey. Whereas the weather in the west of java was always rain, but in East Java there were no rain. Thanks Rab :).

I wanna share about our journey not in detail in this post, later I will post specifically about every places I had been visited.

The main thing is having journey with new people making different stories too, like how non Putu always bring her make up everywhere we go :* , Teh Khalida who get fever in the journey, I - who hiked to the Mt. Prau without both of them, joined with another team - wanted to see first sun in 2014 but I just see mist every where, and we went to Bali just for having a breakfast then went back to Banyuwangi after that. Hihiii

2013.
2013 is not as special as 2012, as sweet as 2011, but in this year there was an unforgettable moment, maybe it could happen once in my life (but it`s still possible it gonna happen some years later, who knows?). although I`d to skip some journeys but still Thanks Rabb for this gretaest year.

Well, let`s flashback from the beginning of 2013 until this december. 

JANUARY

Finally, I got a chance to do my last thesis in one of a multinational company. Thanks Rabb :) . Got a great experience, learned a very very new things, had new friends were the big things in this month. And I could reach Eastern Indonesia (could I say Eastern Indonesia? or Middle Indonesia?) for the first time too. Sumbawa, one of the place I wanna go and being my favourite place to hunt the sunset! I`m totally falling in love with Sumbawa nature. 

FEBRUARY

I had my second home, Townsite. I did my routines during this month in that town. Woke up in the really early morning - went to the office - went to the pit - went back to the office - went back to the townsite (sometimes I went to the beach for seeing sunset) - did exercises for my healthy - slept - and woke up again the morning. Oh Rabb, I missed all of the things in the townsite, I wish I could go there someday. Amin.

In the end of this month, everything was being so hectic. Deadline for finishing my thesis, prepared anything for the last presentation and made simple planing for my journey to the east - called the travel agen - made sure everything is OK , were really made my day being RAWR! Well, in this month, at least I had visited some exotic places, Tropika Beach, Rantung Beach and Yoyo Beach. 

MARCH

Alhamdulillah, all of my assignment there finished this month, there were no busy days, busy weeks and busy month like a month before. After did my last presentation and accomplished the revision, there were MY BIG HOLIDAY! Flores. In this month, I`m totally being Dora The Explorer, hihi. Traveling around the Nusa Tenggara, started from Maluk in the West Sumbawa till Moni in the Flores and I did this journey by myself - solobackpacker - and it was really awesome - unforgettable experiences. I learned so ample things from this journey. How Flores people really really kind the travelers, how beautiful flores`s nature are. I`m pretty crazy thought about how God could made Flores being so marvelous. :) This month was closed by my journey in the East Java, met with my old friends. Thanks for the fabulous months Rabb! 

APRIL
Recovery time.  In the end of this month, I went to Jakarta, stayed for 2 months there, did my final mapping with one of company in the Jakarta. For the hundred times, I still didn`t like Jakarta`s atmosphere. I promise, if I work in Jakarta, I will choose the nearest boarding house from my office. It`s better to walk 15 - 30 minutes than I have to ride angkot. Moreover, when rain came, oh God, flooding in everywhere. :(  I still remember when I had to walk from Jeruk Purut until Ampera street because of the flooding. Two hours just from Fatmawati street until Pejaten Street. *&&@&#&!!!!!! I think that`s the reason I didn`t like Jakarta. 

MAY

Had a great journey to the South Borneo. Spent 2 weeks in the middle of Rantau, went to the field everyday and this is the luxurius mapping I ever had. Hihiii. After got the data, went back to Jakarta to do studio analysis. Suddenly I become AGC (read: anak gaul citos), LoL, it`s just because my boarding house is located behind the CITOS (Cilandak Town Square) :).

JUNE

Finished my final mapping, went back to Jatinangor and had special date with my thesis. Before I had special DATE with my report, I went to Kuningan to help editing some paper which will be published in Bulletin Geologi. Again, I met great people. Learned the new things again made me so felt grateful to the God. Thanks  for the oppurtunities :) . Besides that, because of the location closed to Mt.Ciremai, I could feel the air like when I breathe  in the mountain. Thanks Rabb. Although I couldn`t hike to the mountain this year, at least  I could felt that fresh air.

JULY

July, one of the hectic month in this year. After had a fight with my thesis, I needed a sweet escape and I went to Jogja visiting my friend.  In the last of this month, I presented my thesis to the audience in my faculty. And welcome Ramadhan!!!

AUGUST

Alhamdulillah, I could meet with Idul Fitri again. Thanks Rabb. Then, I went to Pulau Pasaran and Pulau Pisang to explore Lampung`s nature. And August was the last month to ngebolang! 

SEPTEMBER
I did my mapping report from the first day in Sept. I dedicated my September only for mapping!

OCTOBER
ST ST ST ST ST ST ST yeeey!

NOVEMBER
My Graduation day ! November is always mine!

DECEMBER
It`s time for traveling! :)
